Nov 2000 to February 2018 - Executive Manager - Maintenance & Engineering at LIAT (1974) Ltd, reporting to and deputizing for the Director of Maintenance.Responsible for the administration of all maintenance personnel, the allocation of staff to appropriate tasks, staff performance evaluation, training and advancement.
Held responsibility for all aircraft maintenance operations in Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad and for managing the logistics for rectification of unscheduled maintenance events across the Company’s network.
Responsible for Heavy maintenance checks in Antigua and at contracted Facilities in Canada. Oversight of various Contractor’s processes were maintained through On-Site representatives, ensuring that LIAT received value for money.
Liaison for technical matters with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney, ATR and others regarding issues affecting aircraft’s Dispatch Reliability.
Represented LIAT at Operators Conferences to ensure that issues affecting the aircraft’s reliability were tabled and discussed at open forum and commitments of resolutions gained.
1995 to 2000 - Served on the Bombardier Structures Steering Committee and the Aircraft Economic Working Group.
Assisted with the development of aircraft maintenance schedules at LIAT and served on the Maintenance Program Review and Reliability Committees.
Responsible for ensuring that the required standards of quality were achieved for all work and that maintenance was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authorities, the aircraft Manufacturers and the Company’s procedures.
Assisted the Quality Manager in investigating aircraft accidents, incidents and occurrences.
